I am skipping around a bit, in my wedding photography sequence, however, just a few weeks ago I was contacted by Little Anchor Photo to second shoot Macomb County wedding for the very next day. Luckily, I had left my weekend free of plans, because my husband and I have some outdoors-type work that needed to be done on our farm, so I was able to easily switch those plans and second shoot with Serena. I met Serena through an awesome local Southeast Michigan Photographer facebook group that I am a part of. My first “meet up” with everyone was literally three days after we moved to Michigan from Colorado, back in April. Serena was sitting next to me, and she is such a genuinely sweet girl, we obviously hit it off.
The wedding seriously took my breath away. Every single detail was meticulous, and reflected the bride and groom. The wedding took place at a stunning Catholic church in Downtown Richmond, Michigan. The history of these old locations still seriously amazes me, since I’ve been away from Michigan now for the past 12 years. You tend to forget that it’s possible to step into locations built in the 1800’s, every day!
They had a full mass and wedding ceremony, and then we headed out to the famous Stony Creek Metropark area for some bridal party photos before arriving at The Palazzo Grande, where the reception was located. Macomb Michigan has so many different spots that I can’t wait to scout out, and I love the vibe down there- it tends to feel a bit more “big city” compared to my daily life on my farm with my babies and chickens. Below is a collection of some of my favorite images taken and edited by me. Upon permission of Little Anchor Photo, I am sharing some of those highlights with you, today. Enjoy these favorites from my most recent Macomb County wedding.
